The Kosher Kiwi is the mark of the Kashrut wing of the Auckland Hebrew Congregation, New Zealand's largest Orthodox community. Kosher licensing is under the auspices of Rabbi Jack Engel, a member of the RCA - Rabbinical Council of America . It looks at all the stages involved in producing food (from ingredient purchase through to final sale), identifying things with the potential to cause harm to the consumer (the hazards), and implementing controls to eliminate or control such hazards.
